From in vitro to in silico

As a student research assistant in the work group Sauer, I developed a method to extract a mesh of vertices and junctions of cell boundaries from confocal microscopic images data of 3D cell cultures. From these meshes, the cell pressure and tensions were computed with an academic code.

The contributed to a poster presentation at the 2023 spring meeting of the German Physical Society (DPG) in Dresden as a poster.


Immunflouresent 3D images of organoids were segmented. Segemtnations were used to calculate a cell boundrie mesh. With this mesh, we computed cell presure and tensions.
